Job Summary
Maintain and landscape City grounds by mowing, trimming, edging, and applying herbicides and pesticides. Prepare property by grading, clearing land for sidewalks, and removing debris. Repair fences, gates, and structures while assisting with equipment maintenance and special event setups. Operate machinery such as lawn mowers, edgers, and tractors under direct supervision. Full-time position starting at $18.07/hour with excellent benefits including PTO, pension, and city-paid medical. Requires high school graduation and 1 to 2 years of grounds maintenance experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school
- 1 to 2 years experience in grounds maintenance
- Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including lawn mowers, edgers, tractors, etc.
- Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force frequently
- Must be able to exert a negligible amount of force constantly
