Job Summary
Perform yard and field maintenance including cutting grass, edging, weeding, laying sod, spreading seed and fertilizing. Operate light trucks and construction equipment while spraying for insects and maintaining sports fields. Work under direct supervision in adverse weather conditions using hand and power tools. Possess a valid Florida driver's license and ability to lift up to 45 pounds. Full-time role at City of DeLand Parks & Recreation.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid Florida driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public
- Ability to develop and maintain good personal relationship with other employees and the public
- Ability to follow and apply common sense understanding
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form
- Ability to work independently and in a diligent manner
- Ability to use various hand and power tools related to the job
- Good physical condition
- Lift up to 45 Pounds
- Vision: 20/20 or Corrected to 20/100
- Normal Noise Levels for Work Environment
