Job Summary
Maintain and repair facilities and equipment in the School District by performing plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and kitchen equipment repairs; read and apply technical manuals; follow standard practices; initiate projects with minimal supervision; work cooperatively with staff and the public; ensure safety and district policies; prepare required reports and maintain records; support district facilities goals. Essential duties include repairing plumbing, HVAC components, kitchen equipment, carpentry tasks, changing filters, wiring and lighting maintenance, door hardware, roof leak repairs, installing automatic controls, welding, assisting with surplus pickups, and complying with district regulations and certification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Training and experience in a given trade such as heating/air conditioning, plumbing/boiler repair, electrical, carpentry, or painting
- Or other appropriate certificates/licenses required by the District
- Satisfactory Criminal Background Check
- Knowledge of trades for assigned areas; ability to use tools of the trades; ability to read and interpret technical manuals
- Ability to perform routine duties guided by standard practices
