Job Summary

Maintenance Worker responsibilities include operating company vehicles to transport clients/employees/supplies, cleaning and sanitizing rooms and common areas, floor care (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waxing), performing repairs and basic painting, moving furniture, exterior grounds cleaning, and fulfilling courier tasks in addition to maintenance duties; maintain client confidentiality, follow Universal Precautions and CAMBA security policies, identify and report issues, comply with regulatory requirements, ensure safety with appropriate signs, and assist in transporting clients as needed. Requires a valid NYS driver’s license, defensive driving certifications, and ability to perform a range of maintenance tasks with attention to safety and accessibility across CAMBA facilities in Brooklyn and Staten Island.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have Valid New York State Driver’s License and excellent driving history
  • Must complete NYS Approved Defensive Driving Classes every 3 years
  • Must take Refresher Computerized Defensive Driver class
  • Must remain insurable based on CAMBA’s point system throughout the duration of employment
  • If required to drive 15 passenger van, must score at least 80% on computerized 15 passenger van improvement test every year
  • If required to drive 15 passenger van, must pass an observed Van Road Test
  • Acknowledge review of CAMBA’s Transportation Policy
