Job Summary
Maintain hotel properties by performing daily upkeep of facilities including pools, restaurants, guest rooms, and meeting rooms. Complete basic repairs in guest rooms and assist supervisors with major repairs. Perform yard work as required, including snow removal, gardening, and mowing lawns. Interact frequently with coworkers, management, and guests while encouraging safe work practices. Assist other departments as needed, such as guest services and security. Manage large workloads and multitask effectively across day and night shifts. Hold a valid driver's license and possess basic tool knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 Diploma combined with education in a trade or equivalent experience
- Creative thinking and problem solving skills
- Self-starter who is able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Eager to learn and grow as a member of our dynamic team
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage large workloads and demands, and effectively multitask
- Ability to work flexible shifts, day (7am-3pm) and night (3pm-11pm)
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
Desired Qualifications
- Class 4 Alberta drivers license
- Experience or knowledge in related maintenance areas (basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, pool treatment, and painting)
- Basic knowledge of tools and their uses
