Job Summary
Maintenance Worker responsible for grounds maintenance, landscaping, irrigation system upkeep, equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance; performs exterior trash removal, transportation of materials to disposal, setup/breakdown for events, reports mechanical malfunctions, and monitors safety and security on premises; requires knowledge of grounds equipment operation, safe handling of hazardous materials per OSHA, and minor equipment repair skills; must be self-motivated, prompt, and able to pass diocesan background screening and Safe Environment Training; must meet high school diploma or equivalent requirement and be willing to work varied hours including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of grounds equipment operation
- Knowledge of the proper use and disposal of hazardous materials, safe handling techniques, and use of proper safety equipment as outlined by OSHA
- Must have repair skills for minor equipment
- Must be self-motivated and prompt in performing tasks
- Must successfully pass Diocesan background screening and Safe Environment Training
- Catholic faith alignment with church policies and mission
