Job Summary
Maintenance Worker responsible for inspections, routine maintenance across buildings and systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC), repairs, and preventive maintenance. Duties include responding to maintenance requests, maintaining records, ensuring safety compliance, collaborating with teams, managing inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, assisting in preventive maintenance programs, and performing fleet vehicle maintenance. Requires lift of 55 pounds, valid driver’s license, trauma-informed training, in-person work from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday–Friday, in Kansas City, MO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- associate degree preferred
- three years of experience as a maintenance person or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
- Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical issues
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects (55 pounds)
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle
- Trauma Informed Education/Training
