Job Summary
Maintenance Worker responsible for preventative maintenance on solid waste vehicles and equipment, including greasing trucks and checking fluids; performs light mechanical repairs on solid waste vehicles, containers, and related equipment; handles delivery, repair, and replacement of residential refuse and recycling containers; assists with installation/maintenance of dumpsters and other containers; maintains cleanliness of facilities; assists with field equipment issues, inventory of maintenance supplies, and operation of forklifts/skid steers; conducts basic facility tasks (plumbing, pressure washing, painting) and completes work orders with logs; follows safety procedures and PPE requirements; reports issues to supervisors and supports special projects and storm debris operations as assigned.
