Job Summary
Maintenance Worker responsible for planned and reactive maintenance across West Gippsland Healthcare Group sites, primarily Warragul Hospital, with attendance at other sites as directed. Works as part of a service-focused team to deliver maintenance activities, support asset management processes, and ensure facilities are safe and compliant. Requires a recognised trade certificate or demonstrated maintenance experience, proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Outlook, and a valid driver’s license. Roles include routine maintenance tasks, ability to manage multiple tasks, and adherence to confidentiality and vaccination requirements. 38 hours per week, Tuesday–Saturday roster; salary classification OB60–OB63 depending on qualifications/experience; benefits include flexible working arrangements and professional development. The role is based in Australia and involves in-person site work with no explicit remote option.
Required Qualifications
- A recognised trade certificate and/or demonstrated maintenance experience
- Proven experience in building maintenance
- Sound computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- A current driver’s licence
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated reliability, adaptability and flexibility with a proactive approach to work
- Understanding and respect for confidentiality requirements
- Experience using work order or job allocation systems via phone or tablet
- Previous experience in a hospital, aged care or healthcare setting
- Knowledge or experience in asset management processes
