Job Summary
Full-time Maintenance Worker at Canopy by Hilton Washington DC Embassy Row responsible for routine repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry; respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff; troubleshoot equipment and minimize downtime; conduct inspections of rooms, public areas, and facilities; implement preventive maintenance schedules; ensure safety compliance; handle on-call emergencies to maintain guest safety and comfort; monitor inventory and coordinate with other departments and external contractors; maintain tools, equipment, and records; provide reports to supervisors; collaborate to minimize guest disruption; requirement includes ability to read technical manuals and blueprints and strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational training or certification in maintenance or related field is a plus
- Prior experience in hotel maintenance or similar role is preferred
