Job Summary
Maintenance Worker responsible for regular preventative maintenance of large industrial textile processing equipment, as well as facility maintenance. Assists the Maintenance Technician and/or Chief Engineer; reports to the Chief Engineer. Performs basic maintenance duties including monitoring oil levels, servicing grease fittings, lint traps, and shaker screen barrels, and occasional limited electrical troubleshooting. Adheres to safety rules and contributes to continuous improvement of maintenance processes while working with plant personnel in a cooperative, professional manner. Requires driving for parts and occasional travel to procure components; valid driver’s license and clean driving record; proficient with power and hand tools; strong mechanical aptitude and good English communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record free of chargeable accidents
- Demonstrate adequate mechanical aptitude
- Proficient in the proper use of power and hand tools
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
