Job Summary
Under general supervision, Maintains facilities through interior and exterior tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical work, painting, and grounds keeping. Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems; refinishes/installs sheet rock and tiles; cleans and inspects areas; moves supplies and personnel; conducts custodial work; participates in staff training on cleaning methods, sanitation, safety, hazard prevention; and handles snow/ice removal and other duties as assigned. Requires English literacy, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and aptitude with a wide range of tools and equipment. Employment location is Middletown, NY with standard full-time hours and hourly pay in the $22-$25 range per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of prior trade experience
- Valid Driver’s License and maintain it in good standing
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
- High proficiency in the use and operation of a wide range of complex tools, equipment and machines
- Employees may be mandated to work beyond their scheduled shift based on operational needs
