Job Summary
Conduct plant cleaning operations using equipment like floor scrubbers, lint removal devices, and outside rubbish removal tools. Perform miscellaneous painting tasks throughout the plant and facility grounds. Operate powered industrial forklifts, lifts, and shuttle trucks to relocate materials and assist in truck loading/unloading. Execute facilities upkeep duties including landscaping, snow removal, trench screen cleaning, and fluid level checks. Perform light equipment maintenance such as light bulb replacement, ceiling tile replacement, and cart repairs after appropriate training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Must be able to operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts, floor scrubbers, scissor lifts) and other similar tools
- Experience using basic hand and power tools
- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret procedures and instructions in English
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers and managers
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
