Job Summary
Conduct plant cleaning operations using equipment like floor scrubbers, lint removal devices, and pit screen cleaners. Perform miscellaneous painting tasks, landscaping, snow removal, and facility upkeep including fluid checks and light bulb replacements. Operate powered industrial forklifts, lifts, and shuttle trucks to relocate materials and assist with loading/unloading deliveries. Execute basic maintenance duties such as pressure washing, cart repairs, and trench cleaning after appropriate training. Work a standard Monday through Friday schedule with periodic night and weekend overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Must be able to operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts, floor scrubbers, scissor lifts) and other similar tools
- Experience using basic hand and power tools
- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret procedures and instructions in English
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers and managers
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
