Job Summary
Utilize equipment to perform plant cleaning operations including floor scrubbers, lint and dust removal, outside rubbish removal, equipment cleaning, and pit/trench screen cleaning. Perform miscellaneous painting tasks throughout the plant or facility grounds, operate powered industrial forklifts and lifts to relocate materials, and assist with loading/unloading trucks and production receiving. Conduct various facilities upkeep duties such as landscaping, snow removal, light equipment maintenance, fluid level checks, bulb replacement, ceiling tile replacement, cart cleaning, and pressure washing after appropriate training. Operate company shuttle or route trucks upon certification. Work a standard Monday through Friday week with periodic night and weekend overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Must be able to operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts, floor scrubbers, scissor lifts) and other similar tools
- Experience using basic hand and power tools
- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret procedures and instructions in English
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers and managers
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
