Job Summary
Perform plant cleaning operations using equipment like floor scrubbers, lint removal devices, and pit screen cleaners. Operate powered industrial forklifts and lifts to relocate materials, then assist with loading, unloading trucks, and production receiving. Execute miscellaneous painting tasks on facility grounds and facilities upkeep including landscaping, snow removal, and pressure washing. Conduct light equipment maintenance such as fluid checks, bulb replacement, and cart repairs after appropriate training. Upon certification, operate company shuttle or route trucks. Work a standard Monday through Friday schedule with periodic night and weekend overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Must be able to operate powered industrial equipment (forklifts, floor scrubbers, scissor lifts) and other similar tools
- Experience using basic hand and power tools
- Ability to read, comprehend and interpret procedures and instructions in English
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers and managers
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
