Job Summary
Maintenance Utility role performing a variety of upkeep tasks for buildings and grounds at Montauk State Park, including lodging, retail stores, restaurants, and employee housing. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing minor issues across plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, masonry, painting, and waste management; logging repairs; performing preventative maintenance on equipment; organizing and prioritizing service requests; keeping grounds neat and well-maintained using mowers/trimmers; maintaining high customer service standards; inspecting facilities for maintenance needs; promoting safe work practices; supporting ISO environmental and quality initiatives; and performing other duties as assigned. Requires a wide range of maintenance skills, the ability to work independently, strong communication, and ability to work various day/night/weekend/holiday shifts. Thorough knowledge of safety practices and ability to meet customer expectations is essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of facility maintenance experience
- Knowledge of safe work practices (OSHA)
