Job Summary
Maintenance role in Lumberton, NC focusing on maximizing equipment uptime and supporting facility operations. Responsibilities include proactive maintenance, rapid issue resolution, cross-functional support for the maintenance team, repairing powered industrial trucks, applying electrical troubleshooting, welding and metal fabrication, general facility maintenance, refrigerant/logging duties, and assisting with operation and repair of industrial refrigeration systems. Requires ability to lift heavy loads, work in extreme temperatures, operate warehouse equipment, and participate in safety training. Knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and asset-management systems (Infor EAM) is desirable; continuing education in RETA or related courses preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 2 to 5 years of experience with industrial refrigeration systems (PRW)
- Proficient in building and equipment maintenance
- Moderate electrical, HVAC, welding, or plumbing knowledge
- Knowledge of refrigeration control systems, microprocessors, and asset management programs (e.g. Infor EAM)
- Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs occasionally
- Experience with operating scanners, tablets, radios, and warehouse equipment
- Ability to work in a temperature range from +50°F to -30°F
- Attention to detail and safety consciousness
Desired Qualifications
- Continuing education in RETA and/or other industry specific courses preferred
- Experience with public refrigerated warehouse (PRW) industry and industrial refrigeration systems (e.g. anhydrous ammonia) preferred
- Proficient in building and equipment maintenance
- Moderate electrical, HVAC, welding, or plumbing knowledge
- Knowledge of refrigeration control systems, microprocessors, and asset management programs (e.g. Infor EAM) preferred
- Strong arithmetic and reading skills
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with others
