Job Summary
Maintenance position for Parke Place Community performing community groundskeeping, repairs to community-owned homes and lots, and related duties. Responsibilities include operating UMH vehicles for daily inspections, recording observed violations, mowing/grounds maintenance, keeping areas clean and safe, maintaining vehicles and equipment, basic home-installation assistance (e.g., sewer/water connections, deck installation), following safety procedures and hazard communications, operating power and heavy tools, and providing professional communication with coworkers and residents. Requires a valid driver9s license, experience in home repairs/plumbing/grounds maintenance, snow plow experience, safety training participation, strong time-management, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Work is full-time, with overtime and in-person attendance essential; environment includes indoor/outdoor work with variable conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver9s license and a safe driving record
- A broad range of experience in home repairs, general plumbing, grounds maintenance and the operation of heavy equipment.
- Snow plow experience
- Ability to prioritize safety in all job duties and attend periodic safety trainings assigned by UMH Properties
- Time management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently to complete job duties
