Job Summary
General Laborer/Trades Assistant on Navy/military projects; perform hands-on labor, load/unload materials, operate hand/power tools (including forklifts and pallet jacks), clean and prepare sites, assist skilled trades personnel (firewatch, welder’s helper, electrician’s assistant), conduct routine maintenance, follow safety protocols and PPE requirements, and support operations on shipboard and offshore locations. Must be physically capable (lift to 30 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces), comply with site-specific guidelines, and have or obtain base access/credentials; prior shipboard experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA-10 training
- high school or vocational school degree
- ability to obtain base access and security credentials (e.g. DBIDS | NAVSEA Badge)
- U.S. citizenship (export control regulations)
- travel may be required within and outside the continental United States
