Job Summary
Execute preventive, corrective, and diagnostic maintenance on innovative manufacturing machines while responding to emergency breakdowns and developing contingency plans. Interpret schematics, troubleshoot and modify PLC programs to optimize production, and integrate control systems with automation equipment for seamless operation. Manage spare parts inventory, maintain accurate work order records, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance. Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve technical challenges and support new equipment installations. Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations and EHS protocols throughout all maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications
- Successful security clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration program
- Must be a Canadian citizen normally residing in Canada
- Must be a Permanent Resident normally residing in Canada
- Must have valid and current identification (i.e.: driver's license, passport, birth certificate)
- Must be able to provide a residential address and employment history of the past 5 years
- Completion of Technologist or Technician diploma (completed and verified prior to start)
- 309A/433A/442A certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, automation technology, or a related field
- 2-3 years of manufacturing experience in a technical support role, particularly with PLC programming, electrical and control systems
- 1 year of electro mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics experience
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with little supervision in a team-oriented environment
