Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electronic, electromechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and optic systems; read programmable controller information to diagnose complex problems; diagnose and repair AC and DC motor controls; replace belts, pulleys, cables, chains, bearings, gears and related equipment; perform PMs, cleaning, lubrication, and general machinery maintenance; log all work performed; operate a forklift; communicate with plant personnel to review deficiencies; install or relocate equipment; interpret schematics and equipment manuals; work independently and as part of a cross-functional team; adhere to safety procedures and the Amcor Values.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years industrial maintenance or manufacturing experience
- Associates degree or technical training in related field
- Experience reading programmable controllers (PLC)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and equipment manuals
- Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
- Experience with AC/DC motor controls
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as described in job description
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Commitment to safety protocols including lockout/tagout
- Good communication and teamwork skills
