Job Summary
Maintenance Technician at Enterprise Community Partners site in York/Red Lion, PA, responsible for day-to-day maintenance of the property, ensuring a safe, attractive living environment, completing routine, preventive, scheduled and emergency repairs, and supporting resident satisfaction. Perform apartment turnovers, renovations, painting, and cleaning of vacant units; manage logs and respond to service requests; assist with landscaping, snow removal, and dumpster area upkeep; participate in trainings and support other communities as assigned. Requires EPA 608 certification or ability to obtain, proficiency with hand and power tools, strong communication, and ability to work with residents, staff, and external agencies; on-call readiness and reliable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- EPA Section 608 Technician Certification- Type II or Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment)
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and follow-up skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English with diverse groups
- Ability to read English to understand policies, safety notices, and general business correspondence
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy
- Strong customer service orientation to older adults
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with basic computer keyboarding and navigational skills
- Provide basic tool set
- Possess and maintain timely and reliable transportation
- On-call readiness to report to the property within 30 minutes of notification
- Ability to perform maintenance repairs, renovations, painting, and general upkeep as needed
- Ability to supervise or provide guidance to Maintenance Apprentices & Porters (as applicable)
