Job Summary
Maintenance Technician at Enterprise Community Partners. Responsible for day-to-day service needs related to the physical condition, appearance, and operational efficiency of the property, ensuring a safe and attractive living environment for residents, timely completion of resident service requests, and participation in apartment turnovers. Performs routine, preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance repairs; conducts upkeep of the community and equipment; maintains logs; contributes to resident satisfaction through excellent customer service; provides guidance and training to Maintenance Apprentices and Porters; assists with landscaping and snow removal; ensures compliance with policies and procedures; supports other communities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic skill in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, equipment repair, and painting
- EPA Section 608 Technician Certification- Type II or Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment)
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to read English at a level sufficient to understand policies and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm and energy
- Provide basic tool set
- Possess and maintain timely and reliable transportation
- When on-call, be ready, available, fit for work, and able to report to the property within 30 minutes of receiving a call
