Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform general repairs in and around the hotel through preventative maintenance and by responding to guest and team requests. Execute carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and masonry tasks while replacing worn parts and servicing pool and spa areas. Maintain fixtures according to schedule, keep accurate records in log books and key control systems, and clean internal and public areas. Operate snow removal equipment and assist with moving furniture and storing supplies. Respond to guest complaints timely, escalate issues to management, and ensure compliance with OSHA, health codes, and company policies. Work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Specialization in technical crafts (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Ability to advance knowledge in technical crafts
- Speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language, proficiently
- Commitment to delivering high level customer service
- Able to utilize quick thinking and apply quick resolution to hotel maintenance issues
- Able to work in fast paced environment
- Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to speak other languages in a multicultural work environment
- Maintenance Technicians will be required to work varying schedules as dictated by the business needs of the hotel
- Attendance at all scheduled brand and job specific training sessions and meetings
- May require nights, weekends, and holidays
- Consistent attendance in accordance to the standards set forth by Converge Hospitality
