Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for completing janitorial tasks, preventative maintenance, and repairs (including painting, basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical) at Wong Center. Performs apartment turnovers, cleans units, maintains grounds and common areas, and provides on-call maintenance; coordinates with Property Manager, monitors scheduling and progress of work orders, and assists in budget considerations. Requires input of maintenance data into computer systems and collaboration with site team; emphasizes strong customer service, confidentiality of resident information, and adherence to mission-driven housing policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years in skilled apartment maintenance work required
- Read, write, do basic math, and follow instructions in the English language
- Work in a collaborative manner, as a part of the site team
- Flexible to change work schedules
- Learn how to input maintenance work orders and other information into computer programs
- Wear a Mutual Housing Management uniform at all times when on duty
