Job Summary
Respond to resident service requests and complete assigned maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and electrical repairs. Manage apartment make-readies by trash-out, cleaning, painting, and flooring vacant units within three to five days of vacancy. Conduct daily inspections of apartments, building systems, and grounds to ensure they meet quality standards, reporting deficiencies immediately. Perform preventive maintenance, document all work orders, and maintain accurate records of inventory levels and supply shortages. Report for 24/7 emergency on-call rotation, nights, and weekends. This role supports maintenance operations at Winthrop Square Apartments in New London, CT, requiring hands-on problem-solving and a focus on resident retention and property appeal.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of related experience
- Apartment community experience
- Working knowledge of and proven skilled ability to successfully repair and maintain drywall, lock change, and light electrical, carpentry, flooring, plumbing
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Successful completion of a background check
- Successful completion of a drug screen
- Ability to participate in the emergency on-call rotation
