Job Summary
Complete service requests and maintenance work orders for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, drywall, and painting. Diagnose and repair building systems issues while performing preventative maintenance on community equipment, buildings, and common areas. Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents through make-ready and turn processes. Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and amenities to identify safety concerns and assist with emergency maintenance situations on an on-call rotation. Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and inventory while communicating effectively with residents, vendors, and team members. Ensure all work complies with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Current automobile insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as required by the position
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general maintenance practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Basic computer and mobile technology skills for work order management systems and communication platforms

- HVAC certification
- Additional industry certifications
- Experience with Yardi, ResMan, On-Site, or other property management software
