Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair machines and equipment in plant and related facilities while performing preventative maintenance on parts, pumps, motors, hydraulic systems, and facility equipment. Operate hand and power tools for maintenance, repair, and fabrication of parts and machines, applying knowledge in plumbing, pipefitting, carpentry, electrical, electronics, welding, and other skilled trades. Complete work orders and paperwork for daily duties, assist contractors, and ensure compliance with operating policies to maintain a safe environment. Maintain a clean work environment and perform janitorial tasks as needed. Requires five years of industrial maintenance experience, PLC and HVAC knowledge, and ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
Required Qualifications
- Good knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and overall general maintenance
- High mechanical ability
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) experience
- At least one year of HVAC experience
- At least one year of Pneumatic experience
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- MIG & TIG Welding experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word & Excel
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Good troubleshooter
- Excellent verbal/ written communication and customer service skills
- Solid work ethic with a commitment to consistent on-time work attendance
- High school diploma or GED or trade school certification or certificate program completion
- Minimum of five years of experience in a maintenance role in an industrial/ manufacturing environment
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to lift, place, carry and push objects up to 50lbs or more
- Able to climb a ladder
- Must be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, crawl or stoop for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in an uncontrolled environment; in outdoor elements
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Outlook or other e-mail system
- Master Plumber and/or Master Electrician
