Job Summary
Organize, direct, and perform construction tasks to supply electrical energy to remote villages via diesel generation and distribution systems. Execute major overhauls, repairs, preventive maintenance, and fabricate metal structures and equipment while instructing Power Plant Operators on equipment use and safe practices during field operations. Travel approximately 80% of the year across 46 small, isolated grids to maintain 515 miles of distribution line and build confidence with member-owners and village councils. Requires proven welding experience, certification from an accredited institution, and familiarity with diesel generation systems.
