Job Summary
Complete service requests and maintenance work orders for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems. Perform preventative maintenance, conduct routine inspections of grounds and amenities, and prepare vacant units for new residents. Assist with emergency situations and participate in an on-call rotation. Maintain accurate records, manage inventory, and support capital improvement projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Work indoors and outdoors in various conditions using property management software. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. On-site work as scheduled with potential after-hours response.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Current automobile insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as required by the position
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general maintenance practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Basic computer and mobile technology skills for work order management systems and communication platforms
