Job Summary
Maintenance Technician at Veritas Steel (Wausau, WI) performs repair and preventive maintenance on electrical and electronic CNC equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic tools, welding and burn-table machinery, and performs facility and yard upkeep. Must have strong hands-on maintenance experience with CNC/kinetic burn and drilling centers, CNC programming familiarity, and certified Lincoln Electric controller repair. Responsibilities include identifying and solving equipment problems, prioritizing and scheduling maintenance projects, coordinating with shops and yard crews, mentoring the maintenance team, ensuring safe operation and proper documentation, and collaborating with supervisors to meet production goals. The role requires effective communication, cost-conscious problem solving, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Equipment and process improvement, status reporting, and maintaining accurate work orders/logbooks are also expected.
Required Qualifications
