Assistant Maintenance Manager

Job Summary
Complete resident work orders promptly, adhering to 24- and 48-hour service guarantees. Perform repairs and preventative maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structures. Conduct routine inspections to keep equipment and common areas in top condition. Assist the Maintenance Manager in daily operations and oversee vendor work. Prepare vacant apartments for move-in by executing repairs, cleaning, and ensuring all features meet Total Quality Make Ready standards. Provide emergency and on-call maintenance support as needed. Work independently while following company standards to maintain resident satisfaction and property standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in multifamily property maintenance, facilities management, or a related field
- HVAC certification
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including participation in an on-call rotation
- Lifting/carrying (supplies, equipment, etc.): Over 75 lbs. Rare need
- Lifting/carrying (supplies, equipment, etc.): 25 – 75 lbs. Occasional need
- Lifting/carrying (supplies, equipment, etc.): 1 – 25 lbs. Constant need
- Work Authorization Requirement: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout employment
