Job Summary
Complete HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and general property maintenance for assigned buildings using work order software. Implement routine physical improvements, respond to emergencies per protocol, and execute a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan while managing related records. Assist with equipment inventory, expense control, and communicating building status changes to tenants. Adhere strictly to safety standards and professional conduct when interacting with clients, patients, and vendors. Perform duties including lifting 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and extensive walking as needed. Work onsite 5 days a week from 8-5 with on-call availability for after-hours emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of related work experience
- technical training
- High school graduate or GED
- Ability to understand and interpret design documents, manufacturer's specifications and written operational procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to take directions and follow instructions
- Must be safety conscious
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Basic aptitude for mathematics
- Must have a valid driver's license
- reliable transportation
- Basic computer skills
- ability to learn new job-related software
- working knowledge of tools
- Must be located in Charleston, SC area
- Must be in office, on-site, 5 days a week
- Must drive to the various properties with employee-owned vehicle
- Hours of 8-5, Monday through Friday
- availability for after-hours emergencies
