Job Summary
Install, maintain, adjust, repair, rebuild, and assemble production machines and plant facility equipment. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to reduce downtime, while providing rapid response for emergency and unscheduled repairs during production. Execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair, dismantling and replacing manufacturing equipment using layout plans, blueprints, and repair manuals. Perform a variety of plumbing and carpentry maintenance functions for facility upkeep, detect faulty operations, and maintain a safe, clean working environment by strictly complying with procedures, rules, and PPE regulations. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required service, update inventories, and ensure optimum operational performance of machinery and facility equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of related industrial maintenance experience
- Valid driver's license
- Strong familiarity with troubleshooting, configuration, installation, and repair of manufacturing equipment
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
- Basic understanding of furnace and temperature control system troubleshooting
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including welding and cutting torches
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership for equipment performance and facility condition
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines with multiple interruptions
- Ability to stand, walk, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing up to 25 feet throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and/or move items over 75 pounds
- Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate common manufacturing machinery and hand tools
- Ability to speak clearly in English
- Ability to hear at normal speaking levels
