Job Summary
Perform routine repairs and refurbishment on mobile storage equipment by following standard procedures and work instructions. Execute repetitive repairs including door adjustments, hardware replacement, caulking, paint touch-ups, and general interior/exterior fixes. Complete general maintenance tasks such as filter replacement, cleaning, and preparation while removing and installing decals. Document all assignments on Work Orders within established timeframes and escalate non-standard issues or complex diagnostics to management. Conduct equipment inspections and documentation accurately using required mobile applications. This entry-level position requires a high school diploma, general mechanical aptitude, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to learn and follow standard procedures
- Trade skill training preferred or equivalent years of experience
- General mechanical aptitude and tool knowledge
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and checklists
- Strong attention to detail for quality repairs
- Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Construction knowledge and background preferred
- Teamwork and customer service skills
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Ability to utilize required information technology
- Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers' warranty process
- Accurately record time and materials used for proper work order completion
- This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures
