Job Summary
Perform intermediate refurbishment and repair on mobile storage equipment including containers, ground-level offices, and modular buildings. Execute structural, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks with minimal direct supervision, removing and installing floors, walls, roofs, and windows while documenting all work on mobile applications. Conduct inbound and outbound equipment inspections, perform service calls at customer sites, and assist CDL A drivers when needed. Maintain a safe, organized shop and yard by following 5S guidelines, storing tools securely, and informally coaching other technicians. Complete assignments within established timeframes and budgets while adhering to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Active applicable state class driver's license
- 3-5 years of experience with basic electrical, plumbing and/or welding repairs
- Construction knowledge and background
- Teamwork and customer service skills
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Ability to utilize required information technology
- Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers' warranty process
- Ability to coach and mentor less experienced operations staff
- Lift up to 45 lbs
- Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Verbal and written communication skills
- General mechanical aptitude
- Advanced tool knowledge
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail for quality repairs and customer interaction
- Ability to utilize required information technology
- Accurately record time and materials used for proper work order completion
- Ability to coach and mentor other operations staff
