Job Summary
Perform intermediate refurbishment and repair on mobile storage equipment, including containers, ground-level offices, and modular buildings, with minimal direct supervision. Execute structural, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks such as floor decking replacement, wall/frame installation, and window repairs while documenting work on mobile applications. Conduct inbound and outbound equipment inspections, service calls, and field setups for customer sites, assisting CDL drivers when needed. Maintain a safe, organized shop and yard by following 5S guidelines, operating forklifts, and storing tools securely. Informally coach other technicians on general tasks and report safety observations during daily huddles.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Active applicable state class driver's license
- 3-5 years of experience with basic electrical, plumbing and/or welding repairs
- Construction knowledge and background
- Teamwork and customer service skills
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Ability to utilize required information technology
- Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and manufacturers' warranty process
- Ability to coach and mentor less experienced operations staff
- Lift up to 45 lbs
- Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Verbal and written communication skills
- General mechanical aptitude
- Advanced tool knowledge
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical specifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to utilize required information technology
- Working knowledge of heavy equipment, tools, and the manufacturer's warranty process
- Ability to coach and mentor other operations staff
Desired Qualifications
- Entry-level position with general construction, maintenance, or mechanical experience preferred
- Exposure to bright light, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, or fumes
- Construction knowledge and background preferred
