Job Summary
Complete maintenance work orders for exterior and interior building systems, including painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Manage inventory of tools and supplies while performing snow removal and maintaining all appropriate equipment. Assess and prioritize site work, completing daily schedules and ensuring quality on all tasks. Notify supervisors of problems, handle emergency situations, and clean common areas with trash removal. Maintain a professional manner with residents and contractors while adhering to safety protocols. Available for on-call rotation and evening or weekend hours as needed for maintenance emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1-2 years of experience in residential property maintenance
- Working knowledge of electrical
- Working knowledge of plumbing
- Working knowledge of HVAC
- Working knowledge of carpentry
- Working knowledge of heating systems
- Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to solve problems involving residents and challenging situations
- Must be able to stand/walk for 8 to 10 hours
- Frequent body movements including ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors during various weather conditions
- Will be available for on-call as necessary
- A minimum of three (3) years driving experience
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach, push, and pull
- Ability to work in environments with variances in air quality, temperature, walking surfaces, lighting, and other physical aspects
- Ability to handle exposure to substances such as paints, cleaning agents, chemicals, etc.
