Job Summary
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on assigned mechanical equipment and machinery using hand and power tools. Inspect, repair, and maintain systems while adhering to OSHA requirements and lock-out/tag-out procedures. Troubleshoot issues by reading basic schematics and using measuring equipment to diagnose wear with high accuracy. Organize parts and materials, lift loads up to 50 lbs unaccompanied, and share information with supervisors and team members. Maintain accurate records and support management objectives through a positive team approach. Requires high school graduation, valid driver's license, and 1-2 years of industrial maintenance experience. Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED
- Valid state driver's license
- Ability to read and understand basic machine schematics with little guidance
- Ability to use hydraulic equipment
- Ability to use pneumatic equipment
- Ability to use presses
- Ability to use cordless drills
- Ability to use clamps
- Ability to use other misc small tools
- Ability to use measuring equipment to a high level of accuracy of 0.001" to diagnose wear or damage in machine parts
- Familiarity with related hand tools
- Familiarity with troubleshooting equipment
- Willingness to learn how to properly use a variety of measuring equipment to a high level of accuracy of 0.001" to diagnose wear or damage in machine parts; such as digital and dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, levels, angle and depth gages, etc
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements as they pertain to daily activities
- Possesses strong troubleshooting skills
- General knowledge of tools both hand tools and power tools
- Ability to provide personal tools as required
- Highly organized with an emphasis on detail
- Display a positive team player approach supporting management objectives
- Able to follow directions well
- Display the willingness to learn
- Ability to work with other departments to ensure overall success
