Job Summary
The UFC FIT Plantation facility seeks a reliable, hands-on Part-Time Facility & Equipment Technician to maintain and repair gym equipment and the club environment. Responsibilities include daily facility walk-throughs for maintenance and safety, performing preventative maintenance on strength and cardio equipment (cleaning, lubricating cables/pulleys, inspecting components, tightening as needed), maintaining recovery amenities (Red Light Therapy Chamber, Cryotherapy Chamber, Recovery Studio equipment), turf-area upkeep, assisting with assembly/installation/repair of equipment and fixtures, completing minor repairs and painting, maintaining maintenance logs, ordering supplies, and supporting safety inspections and special projects while ensuring work is completed safely and timely.
Required Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, facilities, handyman, or fitness equipment repair experience preferred
- Experience working in a gym, health club, fitness center, or similar environment strongly preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs independently
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work around fitness equipment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability
- Preferred Experience: Fitness equipment maintenance or repair; Preventative maintenance programs; Commercial cleaning and facility upkeep; Recovery equipment maintenance; Basic electrical, plumbing, or HVAC knowledge
