Job Summary

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all production equipment, including CNC machines, mills, lathes, grinding equipment, and other precision mechanical systems with high-precision bearings. Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues to minimize downtime, while troubleshooting PLC systems and assisting with complex machinery problems. Install and maintain electrical systems ranging from low voltage (5 volts) to high voltage (480 volts), and conduct inspections to ensure safety compliance. Collaborate with production teams to coordinate activities with minimal disruption and support the installation, calibration, and setup of new machinery. Handle waste fluid disposal according to safety procedures and adhere to Cal/OSHA and OSHA regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Two or more years of equipment maintenance and electrical systems experience, within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and understand construction, electrical, and equipment drawings and schematics
  • Electrical experience with both low voltage (as low as 5 volts) and high voltage (up to 480 volts)
  • Experience or certification with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems
  • Experience working on hydraulic and pneumatic control systems
  • Experience working with precision mechanical components, including high-precision bearings
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Basic computer literacy for entering and retrieving information using standard business software
  • Strong customer service skills to respond to coworker or supervisor inquiries and escalate complex matters appropriately
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with staff, customers, and others
  • Clear communication skills to convey instructions and follow written and verbal directions
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and common-sense skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team
  • Valid Driver's License

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Cal/OSHA and OSHA safety regulations (preferred)
  • Mathematical ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations (preferred)
