Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform all necessary repairs to vacant apartments and respond to service requests and on-call emergencies in a timely manner. Diagnose and replace HVAC components, windows, plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, and drywall while adhering to RRP protocols for painting and carpentry. Maintain property exteriors, manage grounds including snow removal, and provide preventative maintenance for building systems. Complete work orders according to company policies and monitor utility meter cut-offs. Be available for weekend work, on-call rotation, and emergency service calls. This role supports TREK's mission to create sustainable communities at Uptown Flats, Penn Lincoln, and Mellons Orchard.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid driver licenses
- Child abuse clearances
- Background check
- Minimum of two years of multi-site, multi-family, multi-property type operational management experience
- Minimum of two years of advanced hands-on experience in one or more trades — plumbing, HVAC, boiler, carpentry, appliance, and electrical repairs
- Ability to lift and/or move items up to 80 pounds
- Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday hours
- Ability to work in conditions with occasional outside weather exposure
- Ability to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Ability to be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration
Desired Qualifications
- Trade school and/or Industry-Trade certifications/Degrees (NAHMS, CAMT, OSHA, HVAC)
