Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Maintain and repair production and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and basic automation issues (including PLCs and electronic controls), and keep accurate maintenance logs. Support Continuous Improvement programs, prioritize work orders with the Production Supervisor to minimize downtime, and uphold Health and Safety protocols. Maintain a clean maintenance area and stay current on workplace safety matters. This role requires experience with flow wrappers, robots, conveyors, and high-speed packaging equipment, and a focus on food-manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience with flow wrappers, robots, conveyors, and high-speed packaging equipment
- Mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with PLCs and electronic controls is an asset
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety practices preferred
- SAP and SQR knowledge are considered assets
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to complete accurate shift reports
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Flexible with shift times; weekend work is required
