Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Conduct routine and scheduled inspection and maintenance of machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical systems. Perform preventative maintenance work orders, clean and lubricate parts, replace belts, and clear clogged drains. Connect wires, operate welding machines, and assemble pipes and fixtures. Oversee outside contractors for grounds, building structure, heating, electrical, lighting, fire suppression, and security. Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, with hours subject to variation. Requires high school diploma, two years of maintenance experience, and knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Valid Michigan driver's license and forklift certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance technician role
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, and manuals
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Valid Michigan driver's license
- Reliable transportation
