Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems throughout the Columbus facility, performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on manufacturing equipment (including forging presses up to 2500T, combustion furnaces, CNC saws, shot blast, and auxiliary equipment), executing preventive maintenance per schedule, documenting maintenance activities, and communicating breakdowns and planned repairs. Requires 2-3 years in machine repair/troubleshooting, knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics/mechanical drive systems, basic welding/cutting, ability to read/mechanical/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic prints, strong problem-solving and attention to quality, and basic computer skills. Roles start on third shift (11:00 PM–7:15 AM) at the Columbus, OH site with a focus on safety (LOTO) and adherence to quality and documentation standards. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience in a machine repair and troubleshooting environment
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems
- Basic mechanical, welding and cutting skills
- Able to read/interpreting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints/schematics
- Good problem solving skills and attention to quality/detail
- Have basic computer skills
- Meter usage and ability to complete measurements
- Understanding and adherence to LOTO and safe work practices
