Job Summary
Support production by bringing equipment to base condition through industrial maintenance functions, including interpreting blueprints, fabricating metal, and performing plumbing, pneumatic, and millwright activities. Collaborate with production staff to enhance equipment reliability while minimizing reactive downtime through problem-solving, troubleshooting, and operating computerized systems and maintenance software. Execute preventive maintenance schedules and documentation requirements while communicating effectively with all organizational levels and outside contacts. Work Monday through Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, performing tasks that may involve climbing ladders, working at heights up to 45 feet, and lifting up to 60 pounds in areas with limited space.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to communicate in English with team members and supervisors through various channels, including radio, email and in-person interactions
- Must pass mechanical and electrical aptitude and knowledge test
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds regularly
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, often for the entire duration of the shift
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed to reach high areas and equipment
- Must be able to push and pull heavy cleaning equipment and carts
- Must have good manual dexterity to handle and operate cleaning equipment and tools
- Must be able to work in areas with limited space and restricted mobility
- Must be able to work at elevated heights (up to 45 feet) safely while operating a scissor lift or articulating boom lifts
- Must be able to climb ladders and lift/push/pull using proper techniques up to 60 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Food manufacturing experience is desired and a plus
- Exposure to PLC, SLC 500/PLC5/RS Logics/Device Net preferred
- Exposure to AC and DC motors, VFD and VSD drive experience preferred
- Relevant trade or technical school training preferred
