Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the residence and facilities. Responsibilities include completing maintenance tasks or coordinating with contractors, documenting work and inspections, performing landscape maintenance, refurbishing vacated apartments, managing maintenance supplies and inventories, obtaining bids and overseeing maintenance contracts with approval from the Administrator/Manager, ensuring costs stay within budgets, and performing related duties. Requires mechanical aptitude, strong communication, ability to read/write English, and prior maintenance experience (≥1 year preferred; 3+ years preferred). Must be at least 21, with a high school diploma or GED. Office/ownership oversight and safety compliance (OSHA) are also emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a demonstrated mechanical aptitude, with at least three years experience in maintenance work preferred
- Is able to work effectively and make good decisions with minimal supervision
- Has good problem-solving abilities and a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school education or equivalent GED required
