Job Summary
Complete work orders and other community maintenance, including routine, preventive, and turnover tasks to maintain the property at quality standards. Look for needed maintenance and liability hazards, report them to the Manager, and prepare vacant apartments for move-in by making all necessary repairs and replacements. Review the make-ready board to determine actions on vacant units while adhering to all safety policies. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and major appliances. Work Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM with an on-call rotation requiring additional pay.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of general maintenance experience
- EPA universal license for HVAC
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electrical systems, all major appliances including washer and dryer
- Experience with turnover 'make-ready' of apartments
- Will be exposed to the constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting/moving/carrying light and heavy loads, climbing stairs and ladders
Desired Qualifications
- CPO license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- college-level/trade school
- Basic computer proficiency
- Bilingual
