Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services to ensure excellent curb appeal and quality of apartment homes. Walk the property daily, refurbish apartments per company standards, and notify the Community Manager of safety concerns while maintaining accurate records of all tasks. Carry out maintenance aspects in the Supervisor's absence, including scheduling staff and vendors, and complete all service requests according to standards. Available for weekend work, on-call duties, and after-hours emergency service requests 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Reliable transportation
  • At least 3-4 years of maintenance experience
  • Sufficient knowledge to thoroughly complete maintenance assessment up to the standard of a Maintenance Technician
  • Must be able to walk the property daily
  • Must be available for weekend work
  • Must be available for on-call duties
  • Must be available for after-hours emergency service requests
  • Must be available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week as schedule
  • Must be able to occasionally assist at other properties
  • Must be able to run errands to support the property as necessary
  • Must be able to perform preventative maintenance
  • Must be able to perform repairs
  • Must be able to perform inspections
  • Must be able to perform janitorial services
  • Must be able to assist with maintenance of storage area
  • Must be able to assist with maintenance of maintenance materials
  • Must be able to perform refurbishing
  • Must be able to perform renovation of apartments
  • Must be able to notify Community Manager of any safety concerns
  • Must be able to participate in safety meetings
  • Must be able to maintain accurate record of all tasks completed
  • Must be able to carry out maintenance aspects of the community in the Maintenance Supervisors absence
  • Must be able to schedule staff
  • Must be able to schedule vendors
  • Must be able to order new supplies
  • Must be able to work with Community Manager on other necessary improvements
  • Must be able to complete all service requests in accordance with company standards

  • CFC Universal Certification
